Little Mountain Preschool's director, Kat, posing outside.

My name is Kat Estoque and I am the director and owner of Little Mountain Preschool. For the last seven years I have called Fort Collins home. Originally from Chicago, I found my passion for teaching as the assistant program director of the Little Gym of Chicago. This is where I grew my love for teaching young children through movement and dance. I learned quickly that kids love to move and be free and I wanted to make sure to capture that energy by teaching kids that you can still learn while having fun. When I moved to Fort Collins with my husband I found myself at a local preschool where I was a teacher and the director for the last seven years. I was able to help grow a loving and supportive community at my previous school and excited to do the same here Little Mountain Preschool.

My husband and I have two sons named Kai and Steely. We enjoy hiking, camping, and living lake life at Horsetooth Reservoir. During the winter you can find me skiing in the mountains. We also enjoy traveling and seeing some of our favorite bands on the road. Being a Mom of two young boys I learned quickly the importance of giving them opportunities to learn and grow in nature. I found that there were less tears and more laughs and less wanting to be in front of a screen and more time wanting to make tree forts. I saw my oldest son grow confidence climbing trees in the backyard while my youngest explored the dirt between his fingers as he learned how to crawl.

I knew I wanted to give this opportunity to all children in my care by creating a nature inspired preschool that allowed kids to be kids. I am a center director qualified through the state of Colorado, I have been in the early childhood field for over ten years, and have my associates in early childhood education. I am passionate about celebrating each child for their individuality and partnering with parents and family members to give children a childhood rich with love and support that sparks their imagination and their love for learning. It takes a village to raise a strong community. In order to do this I know the importance of making long lasting connections with both my students and their families. I am eager to help your children grow into curious, loving, and community driven learners.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your family's lives and helping your children grow. I look forward to meeting each and every one of you!

Ms. Kat
